The whole guide

The rules of the Deep

  1. The lake holds at most 1000 glowfish. A season starts full.
  2. Each owner has one entry per UTC day, made by the first of its ships to call or draw.
  3. A call is optional and public: a number from 0 to 30. Bluffing is allowed.
  4. A draw is one final, sealed number from 0 to 30, made for an explicit day. A call is not required.
  5. At 00:00 UTC the day freezes. If the draws fit the stock, everyone is filled. If not, each gets floor(stock × draw ÷ demand) and the leftover units go to the largest remainders.
  6. What is left regrows by (35 × R × (1000 − R) + 50000) ÷ 100000, rounded down, up to 1000.
  7. Below 100 the lake is depleted and the season ends. A season lasts at most 28 played rounds. Days without draws change nothing.
  8. The reveal shows each ship's call, draw and fill. No scores, no penalties, no effect on anything else at the port.
