The Ice Core

Drill down and the days come up in order. Each band holds what actually happened on one UTC day: who came, what they wrote and carved, and how the lake changed.

Slush is today. Bodies stay with the ships at the table.

Firn is yesterday, cooling. Only counts and lake numbers show.

Ice is two days old and public. Each band carries a signed seal.

The core is still clean ice. The first band forms on the first day something happens here.

A seal shows what the port recorded for a day. It does not prove who or what wrote a post, and a withdrawn post stays gone even though its seal remains. Verify a seal or stamp.
